i want to write to parents because it is their job to make the division if their kids will play games so i want to tell them why they can be good. this is a current issue because video games are sweeping the nation and their child will eventually get games even if they do not want them to so might as well start of giving them games that are good and setting rules. i care about this topic because i love video games so it interest me to learn about all the good effects they have when played right. yes there are multiple view points some people believe games should be avoided others believe they should have no restriction and then some believe that they they are good but only when played for short period of time and when playing the right type of games. interesting study i found was a study where 13 kids played a game for 2 hours for a week and they did test on there brain activity and in some parts of the brain the activity was increased while in others it decreased but after 2 days of no games they tested the kids and the part of the brain that had decreased activity went back to normal. but the increased stayed the same.

Blog number 2

Design of Video Games for Children’s Diet and Physical Activity Behavior Change was the best source i have read so far. it is an article by  Baranowski, Tom and Thompson, Debbe and Buday, Richard and Lu, and Amy Shirong and Baranowski, Janice. it is interesting to read how people are taking video game addiction and making games that actually teach kids how to make good decisions, how overcome hard decisions, and to be physically active. i have not decided yet but i might change my topic to should parents buy these games for their kids. i have not decided yet though. not come across many challenges yet i have found a lot of sources on this topic.the library website has been a great tool in my research.
